Bill Penny monitored the race in his powerboat. The participating boats were red, white and blue in hull color. Brenner Fuller raced his boat Fireworks with a crew of two. Bob and Donna Garland sailed on Haleakala and Keith Spaulding came out on Blueberry Pie with a crew of three. </p> <p> The boats took advantage of the beautiful sailing conditions for the cruise back to Smith Cove. An awards ceremony was held on board the Haleakala where painkillers and gourmet hors d'ouevres were served. Prizes were gift certificates to Fay's Ship Store. </p> <p> Submitted by Donna A.
