2006 Three Tack Race Results
Sunday, July 9, 2006
The sailors participating in the Three Tack Race sponsored by the Lake
Winnipesaukee Sailing Association, Inc. on Sunday, July 9, 2006 enjoyed a
sunny, breezy day on the lake with steady winds ranging from 8-16 mph.
Prevailing winds were from the west, with the starting point near Fish
Island. Bill Penny monitored the race in his powerboat. The
participating boats were red, white and blue in hull color. Brenner
Fuller raced his boat Fireworks with a crew of two. Bob and Donna
Garland sailed on Haleakala and Keith Spaulding came out on Blueberry
Pie with a crew of three.
The boats took advantage of the beautiful sailing conditions for the
cruise back to Smith Cove. An awards ceremony was held on board the
Haleakala where painkillers and gourmet hors d'ouevres were served.
Prizes were gift certificates to Fay's Ship Store.
