The O’Day Daysailer is one of the most popular sailboats of all time.  Designed in 1956 by Uffa Fox and George O’Day, over ten thousand have been built and sailed by families and racers worldwide.

This is a classic Daysailer II built in 1985.    Hull # XDYI2882E585.    It is sill in very solid condition and the gelcoat is in very good shape, though it could use a good wax job.  The sails are in fair to good condition and are ready to use on day one.   Included is a sturdy ShoreLandr trailer.

You will find lots of info on Google, but here are the basics:  The Daysailer II has one of the roomiest cockpits you will find on a 17 foot boat.  Lots of room for the family and plenty of room in the cuddy for your cooler and all your other stuff.   It is a stable, forgiving design that sails well in light air and for the more experienced sailor it will plane in a moderate to heavy breeze.  It has a self-bailing cockpit and positive foam flotation.

With a drop-down centerboard, it is easy to launch from a trailer without incurring costly yard fees. The mast is hinged on deck, so it may be raised and lowered easily by two people.
