Buy a Donated Boat
JY 14 with Trailer $1,350
This boat was donated by a local family who has moved on to a bigger boat. It is fully equipped and ready to go.
This is a 1996 JY-14 in exceptionally clean shape with a Skipper B trailer that has new tires.
The JY14, also known as a Hunter 140, is a very solid, positive-flotation (unsinkable), comfortable day sailor. Unlike its cousin, the JY15, you sit down in the boat rather than up on the gunwales. It can accommodate two adults, and a small child or two in moderate conditions. Its wide-beam design provides stability for a comfortable dry ride yet doesn't sacrifice speed. You can see in the pictures that it has a surprising amount of seating for 14-foot boat. And it is rare to find a 14' dingy with a roller furling jib.
The mainsail is in good shape. The roller furling jib has some patches on it, but it is more that usable.
