Pram
Single Handed Dinghy
The Pram is a durable, self-bailing dinghy that is a perfect training boat for beginner sailors. The simple design is very low maintenance, and offers a platform very similar to an Optimist for kids to get excited about sailing. The Pram is more stable and easier to handle than an Optimist for our younger students.
At LWSA we use the Pram as a great introduction to sailing for our Mighty Minis and Level 1 classes.

Optimist
Single Handed Dinghy
The Optimist dinghy is a small sailing boat designed for children aged up to 14. It's about 8 feet long, 3 feet and 8 inches wide, and weighs around 77 pounds. The Optimist has a sprit-rigged sail and hull shape that provides a stable platform for learning to sail.
At LWSA we use the Opti as both an introductory boat as well as a racing boat for our younger racers.

RS Tera
Single Handed Dinghy
The RS Tera is a monohull dinghy in the RS Sailing range of sailing boats. It is recognised by the International Sailing Federation as an international class, and is a popular boat for beginners and for children to race.
At LWSA we use the Tera as a great introduction to sailing for our older Level 1 classes as well as our more experienced racing students.

C 420
Double Handed Dinghy
The Club 420 Dinghy is a fiberglass sailing dinghy with internal buoyancy tanks that is popular for racing and teaching. It has a large sail-area-to-weight ratio, is designed to plane easily, and can be rigged to be sailed single-handed. The 420 is 420 centimeters (13 ft 9 in) long, and has a spinnaker, and trapeze. It is an International class recognized by World Sailing and the International Sailing Federation.
At LWSA we use the 420 to challenge our Level 2 and 3 students as well as a double handed racing boat for our more experienced racers.

RS Feva
Double Handed Dinghy
The RS Feva is a double-handed dinghy for young sailors and parent-child teams. It's a popular choice for youth sailing because it's a better size than traditional fiberglass boats, and is suitable for younger or smaller sailors. The RS Feva is part of the International Class and has events around the world. It's chosen by families, clubs, and National Authorities as a way to help people develop a lifelong interest in sailing.
At LWSA we use the RS Feva as a stable double-handed boat for our less experienced sailors. Additionally we use the Feva to teach our Level 3 students how to sail a dinghy with a asymmetrical spinaker.

J80
One Design Keelboat
The J80 measuring 8 meters, it is a versatile performer designed to have market appeal among those entering the performance arena for the first time, dinghy sailors stepping up to a keelboat, big boat racers seeking a simpler method of going around the buoys, and daysailors.
At LWSA we use the J80 to teach asymmetrical spinnakers, practice keel boat crewing skills and race with J80 Fleet 1 here on Lake Winnipesaukee. Our J80s are also used as a daysailor for Fun Fridays.

Sonar
One Design Keelboat
The 23' Sonar is a one design keelboat high-performance racer and also a comfortable daysailor just right for getting the entire family or friends on the water together. It was designed by Bruce Kirby and almost 700 boats have been built since 1980. The Sonar has recently achieved status as an International Class.
At LWSA we use the Sonar to teach symmetrical spinnaker and for Fun Friday day trips.
