Buy a Donated Boat
1995 ZUMA $1,395
This boat was donated by a local family who bought it way back for their two sons. The boys moved on, and the boat was not used for a number of years.
It was built in 1995. Hull ID# SLI24372L495
You can see in the pics that the boat has had a repair to the area where the rudder is mounted. That is the reason for the low price. The repair is solid and should be no problem. Overall, it is in good condition, and the sail is in very good condition.
The trailer shown in the pictures is available for $200. You can see that it is not elegant but it will get you where you are going for a fraction of the cost for fancier trailers!

If you are in the market for a recreational sailboat, then look no further than Vanguard’s most excellent design – the Zuma. From the ocean to your favorite lake, the Zuma is the perfect sized craft for you or you and your friends to head out onto the water in pursuit of a fun-filled day of sailing. There is simply nothing as exhilarating in this world as the sound of the wind and water around you as you cut around in the lake or the ocean in your Zuma sailboat. Multiply that excitement tenfold when you gather together a group of some friends who also own recreational sailboats as you all fly around the lake or ocean with nothing but the wind and water in your face. Unlike other recreational sailboats that may prove incredibly difficult to transport from your home to your favorite watery hangout, the Zuma Sailboat travels easily. With its flat deck and light weight hull, it only takes one or two persons to be able to lift the boat onto and off of the trailer. This Zuma is in great shape and ready for a day on the water.
"I owned a Zuma for several years. Great little boat, and I've often regretted selling it (but then again, I've regretted selling ALL my sailboats! ). At any rate, it is considerably dryer than a Sunfish, is more comfortable to sail on, less quirky (no lateen rig, gooseneck adjustments, etc.), and can carry more people. When my family was younger, we used to load all six (!!) of us on. I weighed 165, my wife, 120, and our children were ages 2, 4, 6 & 8. Quite a sight, and I'm sure we turned a lot of heads. The reason this was possible, BTW, was because we could set a couple of smaller kids in the cockpit area then have the rest of us sit along the sides. Great fun! When we finally outgrew it, we replaced it with a Prindle 18 catamaran."
The pictures under sail above are stock photos. The rest are pics of these boats.
