LWSA's Annual W.A.R. Regatta

It's not what you think it is!

It's actually a very peaceful event!

It's been so long that our historian has forgotten, but

years ago some of our kids called it the

​

Wicked Awesome Regatta

and others called it the

Winnipesaukee Annual Regatta

​

so today it is  . . . .

W.A.R.

But whatever it is called, is a fun regatta with plenty of spirited competition attended by youngsters

from all over New England and upstate New York.

​

This summer's regatta will be held on July 13, 2023 at the Winnipesaukee Yacht Club

in Gilford, New Hampshire.

​

8:00 - 9:15.    Arrive at WYC and rig boats

9:15                 Skippers meeting

10:00               First signal

​

Sandwiches and drinks will be served on the water

​

Refreshments and awards on the lawn around 3:30

​

Cost:   $25 per competitor

​

Classes (Please bring your own boat)
-Collegiate 420 (No traps or spins)
-Club 420 (Traps and spins)
-Optimist Dinghy

The emphasis is on learning and growing as sailboat racers.
